The TUSA Platina II Hyperdry SP170 / SP175 is a popular snorkel series designed for Scuba Diving and Snorkeling. It features TUSA’s Hyperdry System, which helps reduce water entry from surface splashes and waves, along with a bottom purge valve for quick and easy water clearing.

  • Hyperdry System (Splash Guard) – Helps reduce water entering the snorkel from surface splashes and waves. Please note that the Hyperdry System does not completely prevent water entry when the snorkel is fully submerged.

  • Bottom Purge Valve – Allows water inside the snorkel to be cleared easily with minimal effort.

  • Comfort Swivel Joint – Flexible swivel joint allows the snorkel to move naturally and adjust comfortably to the angle of the face.

  • Replaceable Silicone Mouthpiece – Made from high-quality silicone for a soft, comfortable, and durable fit. The mouthpiece can be removed and replaced when needed.

Difference Between SP170 and SP175

Both models share the same main features, including the Hyperdry System, Bottom Purge Valve, and Replaceable Silicone Mouthpiece.

The main difference is the mask attachment clip:

  • SP170 – Uses a standard snorkel keeper/clip.

  • SP175 – Features a Quick-Release Clip, allowing the snorkel to be easily attached to or removed from the mask strap with one hand for greater convenience.
